I am a wildlife photographer, driven by a deep passion for capturing the natural world in its most beautiful and striking forms.
I photograph many subjects, but my main focus captures landscapes above and below the water, with a particular fondness for mountains and the animals that call these areas home. I invite viewers to immerse themselves in my photography, enveloping them in a world of fascinating and diverse wildlife, with my images acting as a bridge between the human and natural world, encouraging a greater appreciation for our planet and the diverse species that thrive in our wilderness.
My fascination for animals and wildlife began in my childhood, discovering the creatures that many would consider strange or unusual. Throughout this period of my life, my family and I rehomed many animals; I would often return from school to find a different species taking shelter in our living room. Consequently, I developed a newfound understanding for these animals, a deep empathy and respect for all animal life. I quickly came to realise that whilst only a fraction of my size, even insects are invaluable to our ecosystems and natural biodiversity.
These early experiences naturally evolved into a pure love for the wilderness and wildlife, and a passion for capturing its essence through photography. Whether on land or below the surface of the waves, I aim to portray their beauty, their struggles, and their resilience in a way that creates understanding and appreciation for the natural world.

Whilst among the mountains, I aim to capture the indescribable feeling of standing before towering peaks and vast valleys, carved millions of years before by glaciers, a feeling that first emerged in the Lake District where I spent many of my formative years, enveloped in the crags and forests of the Cumbrian countryside.
The scale of the fells and mountains never fails to provide solace for the soul, perspective on any problem and a sense of grounding and belonging.

Beyond wildlife, my portfolio extends to underwater photography, offering a glimpse into the hidden world beneath the waves.
Driven by my fear of deep and dark water, I began my underwater career on a diving course, attempting to uncover the secrets of the ocean and its inhabitants. This began a fascination with the underwater world, leading to enrolling at Falmouth University, where I studied a degree in Marine and Natural History Photography. This offered opportunities to dive in Cornwall and Egypt, beginning a process of showcasing the diversity of the oceans creatures, and the vibrant array of colours and forms that they possess.
