The 3 peaks are known to many English mountaineers, where the challenge is to summit the United Kingdoms tallest peaks consecutively . These peaks are Scafell Pike "Skalli Fjal" in Cumbria, Snowdon "Yr Wyddfa" in Snowdonia and Ben Nevis "Beinn Nibheis" in Scotland and serve as greatly trying treks, increasing in difficulty throughout.
With challenging scrambles and gruelling inclines, these mountains offer no shortage of tests and require a strong stride and determination to complete.
As the tallest mountain in the United Kingdom, Ben Nevis is often the final destination of the 3 peaks climb and so it was for us. This selection of photographs documents the journey of myself and David Firth summitting and reaching the trigpoint, beginning at first light.
